The Supply Chain Production Planner – Foundry Services is responsible for the procurement / planning of global wafer requirements. This role will execute requirements from MRP / ERP system as a result of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and ensure foundries deliver to support the MPS.
· Establishes forecasting process to foundries; measure and monitor performance to forecast; ensure allocations exist within each foundry.
o Develops foundry supplier scorecards base on key metrics (quality, OTD, lead-time, etc); communicate results to management / foundries; develop corrective action programs if foundries are underperforming.
o Maintains all MRP planning parameters in ERP system (lead-times, supplier information, MRP parameters) to ensure MRP system is operating properly.
o Develops strategic inventory policies to reduce inventory carrying costs (i.e. VMI with foundries).
§ Manages new product wafer procurement process.
§ Establishes/maintains all ISO documentation to support functions.
o Responsible for the assessment of existing processes and procedures and contribute to improving efficiency and elimination of non-value added activities.
Experience:
Bachelors Degree is required or international equivalent. APICS certification is a plus. Greater than 5 years of progressive experience in Manufacturing Planning / Purchasing role is required. Semiconductor industry experience is preferred. He/she must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required. Epicor ERP system experience is a plus.
